Compassion and Presence Seminar

Adelaide 13 and 14 June 2012

A two-day training seminar for social and healthcare professionals and trained volunteers

Responding effectively to the needs of patients and clients is an on-going professional and deeply personal challenge. Drawing on Sogyal Rinpoche's groundbreaking book, The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying, this Compassion and Presence seminar provides in-depth training in unique skills, such as contemplative listening, which will support you in your work and life. Scientific research has shown that the skills of meditation and compassion effectively enhance the care we offer. As part of professional self-care, they are also a powerful antidote to compassion fatigue, exhaustion and burnout.
